Set up sourcing & outreach
Overview of how to automate sourcing with Tezi
Tezi’s AI Max can autonomously identify high-quality candidates for a role by applying your criteria to our database of ~750 million global profiles. Max then reaches out to candidates with a personalized email sequence, and it manages follow-up communication, including responding to candidates and advancing them to next steps.
Setup
On your role setup page:
1️⃣ Create your job description
Select Job description to create your JD. Our system uses the JD as the foundation for identifying strong candidates and for crafting personalized outreach that highlights how each candidate’s experience aligns with your role specifically.
Choose whether or not to publish the JD. Publishing enables you to accept inbound applications via Tezi and also means outreach messages will automatically link to the JD so that candidates can easily learn more about the role.
Users with 3rd-party ATS integration: Tezi Support will connect Tezi to your existing ATS pipeline and JD, so you do not need to set up a JD in Tezi.
2️⃣ Calibrate Tezi on your target candidate profile
Train Tezi on what candidates to source through calibration.
3️⃣ Configure your email sequence
Set up an email campaign that Max will use to reach out to qualified candidates.
4️⃣ Set weekly outreach volume
Select Sourcing volume and enter the number of candidates Tezi should contact each week. Tezi will maintain this volume until our AI has reached all qualified candidates who match your current calibration criteria. You’ll be notified when our system has almost run out of matching candidates.
5️⃣ (Optional but recommended) Provide Tezi with hiring context
Provide Tezi with information on your role and/or company so Max can answer common candidate questions during outreach conversations. This saves you time and keeps candidates engaged with faster responses.
6️⃣ Go live on the role
After you’ve set up all the Tezi features you’re interested in—including but not necessarily limited to sourcing—Go live on the role. This means Tezi will start automatic email outreach, as well as any other automatic actions that you have configured.
Users with 3rd-party ATS integration: You cannot self-serve activating a role due to the depth and complexity of Tezi’s ATS integration. Reach out to Tezi Support to go live on your role.
7️⃣ (Optional) Preview candidates prior to outreach
You can preview candidates before Max reaches out to them in the Scheduled Outreach tab, which displays candidates that Max plans to contact for up to the next two weeks. Remove any candidates that you don't want Max to contact. If you see many mismatched candidates, consider refining calibration.

Reviewing Scheduled Outreach is optional. To keep your recruiting pipeline moving, Max will automatically contact candidates on their scheduled dates, regardless of whether you've reviewed them or not.
After going live on a role or recalibrating it, allow up to 6 hours for our system to populate Scheduled Outreach with upcoming candidates.
