Set up Tezi’s Ashby integration

With Tezi's Ashby integration, you can easily keep your Ashby and Tezi data in sync. Key benefits include:

  • Auto-screen your Ashby inbound pipeline with Tezi

  • Exclude previously contacted candidates from Tezi's auto-sourcing

  • Incorporate Tezi into your overall recruiting reporting

To set up Tezi's Ashby integration, you will need to:

  1. Provide an Ashby API key to Tezi. This enables Tezi's service to read and write to Ashby, keeping data in sync.

  2. Assign max.tezi@[yourdomain].com an admin seat in Ashby. This enables Tezi to provide white-glove support during onboarding and on an ongoing basis.

The steps below must be completed by a Ashby admin. Completing them typically takes ~10-15 minutes.

Part 1: Provide an Ashby API key to Tezi

To complete these steps, you’ll need to be an Organization Admin user in Ashby.

  1. Sign into Ashby.

  2. Click here for the API Keys page.

    1. You can also navigate to this page: Admin>Integrations>API Keys.

  3. Click + New to open the API key setup wizard. You’ll be asked to name your key and have the option to select your Integration Partner.

    1. Name: We recommend "Max by Tezi (autonomous AI recruiting)"

    2. Integration Partner (Optional): Leave blank

  4. Click Create API Key

  5. On the next screen, grant Tezi access to all/the following endpoint permissions:

  6. Click Save and Continue. You’ll then be able to copy your API key on the final step.

    1. Please note you will not be able to copy your key again after closing out the setup wizard. If you forget or misplace a key, you will need to generate a new one.

  7. Send the API key to Tezi Support ([email protected]) via encrypted email.

Part 2: Assign max.tezi@[yourdomain].com an Ashby admin seat

In Set up email for Max on your domain, you created max.tezi@[yourdomain].com so that Max can send interview scheduling emails and calendar invites from your company domain. You also sent this service account's login credentials to Tezi Support so that we can better resolve recruiting and technical issues.

In this section, you will assign an Ashby admin seat to max.tezi@[yourdomain].com. This helps Tezi provide a smoother Ashby integration experience.

If your Ashby setup allows users to log in using passwords:

To complete these steps, you’ll need to be an Organization Admin user in Ashby.

Add Max as an Ashby User:

  1. Sign in to Ashby

  2. Click here for the Employees page

    1. You can also navigate to the page: Admin>Employees

  3. Click New to add a new user

  4. Name this user “Max by Tezi (autonomous AI recruiting)”

  5. Add email for Max, max.tezi@[yourdomain].com

  6. Click Create

  7. Finally, to activate this user, click the Actions dropdown, and click Activate

Assign Max "Organization Admin" Permissions:

  1. When viewing the “Max by Tezi” user you created, click the Permissions tab

  2. Under Global User Role>Role, set the role to Organization Admin.
